We are looking at other colors to bring to you. We will consider the most popular requests during our next product run. How to adjust the diapers to fit your baby. There are 3 lines of buttons. The top line adjusts to the second line of buttons. This will make the size medium. The top line adjusts to the bottom line of buttons will make the size small. Snaps or Velcro? Lots of people ask us, “Which should you chose, snaps or Velcro.” Here is the information we have gotten from our customer feedback. For a smaller baby the Velcro works better. For a larger baby the snaps work better. If your home has both small and large babies, a mix would be best. Or just buy one of each until you decide which works better for you. Our son is 25 pounds and both works fine for him. We have a mix. I honestly never look when I put a diaper on him. Whatever is next in the stack is what I use. It does not matter to me if it is snap or Velcro. Outer Shell– Our waterproof outer barrier is made well and is extremely durable. This will last and last on your crawling baby. It is made from breathable polyurethane laminated outer poly knit to keep wetness contained. (This is the same material as the more expensive brands). The material is a thicker .025 mm compared to most diapers that have the .012 mm. This adds up to more protection for your baby, the bed and linens from leakage. This additional thickness also helps make the diaper more resilient for those babies that are on the move. Do not wash in hot water. Inner Fleece– The soft polyester micro fleece inner layer gently touches your baby’s skin. This fleece layer pulls away moisture and keeps your baby dry, comfortable and rash-free. Pocket Opening– This is the gem of this product. The pocket-style opening enables customization to suit your baby’s needs. You can stuff the pocket with the included micro terry insert for maximum absorbency. You can also add additional inserts for the heavier wetter. A panty liner can even be put in here in an emergency situation. The micro fleece inner liner wicks the moisture away from your baby so this is a great way to cover those emergencies. We have two kids and emergencies happen. You can often find a panty liner in the dispenser at the mall when you can rarely find a spare diaper. Insert– 3 layers Polyester micro terry cloth. These are really soft and absorbent. The feel reminds you of a soft stuffed toy. Just used by themselves, these are nice and cozy to the touch. These also make great clothes for clean ups. These are super soft. We love them as wipe off clothes and will really soak up the moisture. Washing/Drying and Caring for your Sweet Dolly Baby Cloth Diapers Our diapers are single use diapers. Wash the diaper and the insert after each use. When wet, separate insert and Sweet Doll Baby Diapers and store in a dry diaper pail. If soiled, simply knock solids into toilet. Small solids stuck to the fleece will dissolve in the wash. Use a mini-shower toilet attachment to rinse off soiled diapers over the toilet. This works great and keeps your washer from having to work too hard. How do I wash my cloth diapers? Cold or Hot pre-wash Cold, Hot or warm wash Extra rinse if desired, especially if you are using cold water washes. Use low or medium heat to dry. Hang dry is best and saves energy. First, run rinse or soak cycle with no detergent. Use 1/4 to 1/2 of the recommended detergent for the wash. Run them through on another cycle without detergent to make sure all the soap is out. The second cycle isn’t really necessary for everyone. Our child will break out sometimes with detergents so we like to extra rinse to make sure it is all out of there Second, run a cold or hot cycle with detergent. Do not uses bleach in this wash; it is destructive to the outer PUL. It is not good for the waterproofing of the outer shell. If you need additional cleaning, light Spray and Wash and good hot water washing works great. Third, if your wash is not automatically followed by a rinse, run an additional rinse cycle. This step is only necessary with a particularly dirty load. Fourth, tumble dry the diapers in dryer on low or medium heat or hang to dry. Do not use fabric softener or pure soap. It is not necessary to dry on high heat. Diapers by themselves dry very fast. You can save energy by hanging diaper covers to dry. What types of detergents should I or can I use? Use should use a detergent you are comfortable with. Also you want to know how your baby’s skin will react to it. Try to get detergent that is oil free, or it could cause the diapers to leak. The oil will prevent the outer shell from working to its maximum efficiency. A good example of a good detergent is Melapower scent-free, it contains no harsh chemicals. It does have some tea tree oils, but it doesn’t appear to effect absorbency. It also acts as an antibacterial agent. Do not use bleach or fabric softener. If you want to know more about this detergent here is some good information. Mela Power laundry detergent is a natural, non-alkaline, concentrated laundry detergent. It’s safe for your home, clothes, family and the environment. Because it is concentrated you will save money as well as using less plastic. It has a ph neutral formula and will not damage septic systems. It’s an indispensable product in our home as I slowly lead our family into a safer, greener, chemical-free lifestyle. Most laundry detergents today contain ingredients that are harmful to the environment and to people. Benzene, chloroform, chlorine, and surfactants are just a few chemicals used in laundry products today. Most of them also use strong fragrances to which many people have allergies or sensitivities. Mela Power is free of all chemicals. It’s biodegradable and available in an unscented version. It contains no fillers so you are buying a pure cleaning product without any bulk added to inflate the price. It doesn’t damage your clothes like regular detergents can in time because it contains no alkali and phosphates, which can eat away at fabric and fade colors. I average about one load of laundry a day. My 32 ounce container of Mela Power lasted for over a month. It cleans our clothes just as well as any mainstream detergent. I do occasionally miss the scents of my previous brand but I realize that they weren’t natural and the chemicals and phosphates in the detergent could cause my family and the environment harm in the long term. Mela Power can be used for more than washing clothes. You can use it as a stain remover by simply applying it directly to the stain. You can use it as a dryer sheet by spraying a splash on a washcloth and adding it to your dryer, or spraying a couple of pumps into your dryer drum. It also works in conjunction with another Melaleuca product called Sol-U-Mel, a disinfectant, to wash and disinfect stuffed animals and other household fabrics that are washable. You can also use it in conjunction with a couple of other products to machine clean your carpets. It’s a lot less expensive than what they sell with the machines and you will have the benefit of a clean and healthy carpet with no chemical residue. Or just Google “Melapower scent-free” and you will get lots of good information about this product. Most babies will experience little to no diaper rash while using cloth diapers. Cloth diapers breathe and let your baby’s skin stay naturally healthy. Do not use any rash or diaper ointments or creams with the diapers. The oils in these will make the Sweet Doll Baby Brand Diaper lose some moisture protection. Lots of people ask us, “Which should you chose, snaps or Velcro.” Here is the information we have gotten from our customer feedback. For a smaller baby the Velcro works better. For a larger baby the snaps work better. If your home has both small and large babies, a mix would be best. Or just buy one of each until you decide which works better for you. Our son is 25 pounds and both works fine for him. We have a mix. I honestly never look when I put a diaper on him. Whatever is next in the stack is what I use. It does not matter to me if it is snap or Velcro. Outer Shell– Our waterproof outer barrier is made well and is extremely durable. This will last and last on your crawling baby. It is made from breathable polyurethane laminated outer poly knit to keep wetness contained. (This is the same material as the more expensive brands). The material is a thicker .025 mm compared to most diapers that have the .012 mm. This adds up to more protection for your baby, the bed and linens from leakage. This additional thickness also helps make the diaper more resilient for those babies that are on the move. Do not wash in hot water. Inner Fleece– The soft polyester micro fleece inner layer gently touches your baby’s skin. This fleece layer pulls away moisture and keeps your baby dry, comfortable and rash-free. Pocket Opening– This is the gem of this product. The pocket-style opening enables customization to suit your baby’s needs. You can stuff the pocket with the included micro terry insert for maximum absorbency. You can also add additional inserts for the heavier wetter. A panty liner can even be put in here in an emergency situation. The micro fleece inner liner wicks the moisture away from your baby so this is a great way to cover those emergencies. We have two kids and emergencies happen. You can often find a panty liner in the dispenser at the mall when you can rarely find a spare diaper. Insert– 3 layers Polyester micro terry cloth. These are really soft and absorbent. The feel reminds you of a soft stuffed toy. Just used by themselves, these are nice and cozy to the touch. These also make great clothes for clean ups. These are super soft. We love them as wipe off clothes and will really soak up the moisture. Washing/Drying and Caring for your Sweet Dolly Baby Cloth Diapers Our diapers are single use diapers. Wash the diaper and the insert after each use. When wet, separate insert and Sweet Doll Baby Diapers and store in a dry diaper pail. If soiled, simply knock solids into toilet. Small solids stuck to the fleece will dissolve in the wash. Use a mini-shower toilet attachment to rinse off soiled diapers over the toilet. This works great and keeps your washer from having to work too hard. How do I wash my cloth diapers? Cold or Hot pre-wash Cold, Hot or warm wash Extra rinse if desired, especially if you are using cold water washes. Use low or medium heat to dry. Hang dry is best and saves energy. First, run rinse or soak cycle with no detergent. Use 1/4 to 1/2 of the recommended detergent for the wash. Run them through on another cycle without detergent to make sure all the soap is out. The second cycle isn’t really necessary for everyone. Our child will break out sometimes with detergents so we like to extra rinse to make sure it is all out of there Second, run a cold or hot cycle with detergent. Do not uses bleach in this wash; it is destructive to the outer PUL. It is not good for the waterproofing of the outer shell. If you need additional cleaning, light Spray and Wash and good hot water washing works great. Third, if your wash is not automatically followed by a rinse, run an additional rinse cycle. This step is only necessary with a particularly dirty load. Fourth, tumble dry the diapers in dryer on low or medium heat or hang to dry. Do not use fabric softener or pure soap. It is not necessary to dry on high heat. Diapers by themselves dry very fast. You can save energy by hanging diaper covers to dry. What types of detergents should I or can I use? Use should use a detergent you are comfortable with. Also you want to know how your baby’s skin will react to it. Try to get detergent that is oil free, or it could cause the diapers to leak. The oil will prevent the outer shell from working to its maximum efficiency. A good example of a good detergent is Melapower scent-free, it contains no harsh chemicals. It does have some tea tree oils, but it doesn’t appear to effect absorbency. It also acts as an antibacterial agent. Do not use bleach or fabric softener. If you want to know more about this detergent here is some good information. Mela Power laundry detergent is a natural, non-alkaline, concentrated laundry detergent. It’s safe for your home, clothes, family and the environment. Because it is concentrated you will save money as well as using less plastic. It has a ph neutral formula and will not damage septic systems. It’s an indispensable product in our home as I slowly lead our family into a safer, greener, chemical-free lifestyle. Most laundry detergents today contain ingredients that are harmful to the environment and to people. Benzene, chloroform, chlorine, and surfactants are just a few chemicals used in laundry products today. Most of them also use strong fragrances to which many people have allergies or sensitivities. Mela Power can be used for more than washing clothes. You can use it as a stain remover by simply applying it directly to the stain. You can use it as a dryer sheet by spraying a splash on a washcloth and adding it to your dryer, or spraying a couple of pumps into your dryer drum. It also works in conjunction with another Melaleuca product called Sol-U-Mel, a disinfectant, to wash and disinfect stuffed animals and other household fabrics that are washable. You can also use it in conjunction with a couple of other products to machine clean your carpets. Cloth diapers breathe and let your baby’s skin stay naturally healthy. Do not use any rash or diaper ointments or creams with the diapers. The oils in these will make the Sweet Doll Baby Brand Diaper lose some moisture protection. Diaper rash cream. This will cause the diaper to leak. The cream creates a water proof surface on the inserts and lets the water run off. In the case you are getting some rash, you can change the diapers more often or temporarily switch to disposables until the rash subsides. Warranty does not cover: Leaking (except as related to manufacturing defect), “stinky or smelly diapers”, and buildup, staining of the inserts or normal wear. Any diaper may leak at times, regardless of brands or style. We have used the best Disposable Diapers on our son, and they leak sometimes. We have tried the most expensive cloth brands and they leak sometimes. Please use both inserts when using the diapers, especially at night. Using one insert only gives you half the leak protection. (12) Q- How many diapers do I need for my baby? Typically you should change your baby at least every two hours. That could change depending on the situation. So you will need at minimum 5 to 6 diapers per day. (13) Q- Can I only change the insert and not the outer shell? A- I don’t recommend it unless it is an emergency. You are taking the chance of germs and other problems. In a pinch you can use a sanitary napkin for an insert to get you home. Carry a large zip lock baggy in your purse to hold the soiled insert. (14) Q- How do I specify snaps or Velcro and colors when I purchase? A- You can specify this on EBay messages or through your PayPal payment. There is an option to send an email.
